If it makes you more comfortable don’t think of it as “renaming,” let’s call it “providing commentary.” After all, that is the point of art, correct? To evoke and inspire emotion, conversation, thought and criticism that can be shared with others.

In over 1200 posts only twice has anyone asked that something be removed. One was just this week and she was happy to see her photo reposted without credit and with “commentary” added by FYRI. If you are the rightful owner of material on here and you don’t want it to be, please, by all means, let me know and it will be removed…you will, of course, have to come out from behind your Anonymous shroud.

There are very few opinions posted on here, perhaps a restaurant recommendation, some music, an event, etc… If you are referring to the customized URLs, they are simply a way to track posts vs. the randomized ones tumblr provides by default. Please feel free to send over a few examples of the “renames” that make you feel the most uncomfortable and we’ll have a laugh look at them.

Addressing your last charge, I certainly don’t claim to represent the State, they have their own tumblr, please follow it. However dry it may be, I was impressed to see Rhode Island make such a progressive move into the online space.

Finally, you have the option of not visiting the site or unfollowing…don’t take yourself so serious Anon, this is just for fun, I thought that was fairly apparent.
