Dozens of endangered right whales seen off RI. →
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says on Friday that one of its aerial whale research teams saw the whales, including four mother and calf pairs, on April 22 in Rhode Island Sound. They had also seen 101 of the whales off Massachusetts last week.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker to deliver commencement...
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — Newark Mayor Cory Booker is scheduled to deliver the commencement address at the University of Rhode Island.
The university announced today that Booker will also be awarded an honorary doctorate. About 3,300 students are expected to get degrees at the May 22 ceremony.
