Take a trip down to the Matunuck Oyster Bar, it won’t disappoint. jbkcc: As far as I know, there aren’t any clam shacks in the city of Providence proper. This is a crying shame. I love seafood, I can’t get enough clam chowder, but all the nearby seafood restaurants are expensive and stuffy. There are some clam shacks just outside the city, though.
